Life with Privia
Privia: Enhancing Creativity and Focus
In addition to a career in modeling, Camille Chatelet is also the owner of the boutique vintage store, "entremains”. When she left her hometown of Lyon for Paris years ago, she fell in love with the atmosphere of Montmartre, the city's 18th arrondissement, and has been living there ever since.
"With its old streets, Montmartre is an area with a romantic and artistic atmosphere. It also feels a bit like a small village, so it’s a very comfortable place to live. When I first moved into this house, the view from the balcony blew me away. I still can't believe that from at any time of day, I can admire this beautiful, magical sight of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica right there."
Camille's home has a modern feel, but the interior features a unqieu mix of vintage items. She says, "I like to mix modern and vintage designs, so I have combined vintage interior items with other ones mostly by Italian designers. Surrounding myself with beautiful objects that have stood the test of time helps me to relax and unwind."
Bleding in as part of that mixed vintage interior is a white model Privia. "I love the white, minimalist look. I wanted to spend more time enjoying music, so I was looking for a modern piano that would fit with my aesthetic. This Privia is beautiful and perfectly matches my interior decor!"
Being an entrepreneur keeps Camille very busy, and "entremains” opened three years ago in Paris's highly reputable Galeries Lafayette department store. She employs a team of four people who share her passion for all things vintage, and is now looking to open a store in Paris’ Marais district.
"Every day seems to pass by in a flash, but continual growth is important to me. I want to be a dynamic person in relation to my work," says Camille, who also expresses that music has an integral place in her life. "Music is essential to my creative direction, whether I'm producing a collection or devising a business strategy. I think exposure to music enhances creativity and boosts concentration. No matter how busy I am, I always make time to play my piano. That time is so important to me."
